You will need a grounded and dedicated 15- or 20-amp AC breaker serving a grounded three-prong outlet for proper charging. Failure to have a dedicated line, other appliances on the line, using an extension cord with the charger, using a surge protector or adding a timer and other adapters can result in electric shock, fire and/or repeated breaker trips. If you do not have a dedicated line, contact a professional licensed electrician for proper installation.
